EXPANSIVE IMPACT FOR ORGANIZATIONS

Zing Collaborative, Organizations, In-House Leadership Development

In-House Leadership Development

Deep partnership and high impact. Grow the leadership capacity of your organization in a way that is human-centric, focused on your organization’s goals and future vision, and aligned with your organization’s culture and way of doing business.

Being an effective leader is often one of the hardest things that we do. As we grow in our roles and as leaders, more and more people are looking at us and to us - for answers, to model the way, to guide us through challenging and uncertain times.

Several bodies of research have found that there is little correlation between being effective in our jobs and being effective as leaders. This means that intentional, focused leadership development is essential.

Too often we attend a “one and done” leadership training feeling inspired and excited to implement what we learn, only to have the impact fizzle just a couple weeks later.

Through an in-house leadership development partnership, we will work to create a program that creates Expansive Impact within your organization, through meaningful, lasting, and sustainable positive shifts.

For some organizations this has been a four-month program with ongoing follow-up and support; for others, it’s been a yearly, cohort-based program where the group meets month; for others, it’s meant bi-monthly group sessions with 1:1 coaching in between.

We will work together to determine the best fit and format for your organization. What matters most is that the work supports your goals, your vision for the future, and your leaders.

this might be a good fit for youR ORGANIZATION if you:

  • Are looking ahead at how your organization can be prepared for the future (most organizations I partner with are forward-looking and do this work as a way to prepare for what they’re creating and where they’re going - rather than as a “quick fix” or as a way of fixing a crisis situation)

  • Are experiencing growth, transition, or organizational changes

  • Believe that investing in people is one of the greatest investments you can make in your organization

  • Are, or have, a CEO and/or president who fully supports this work (In my experience, this has been a “make or break” factor for success - having a supportive, engaged CEO and/or president who champions this work within the organization. Initiatives supported solely by an HR or Learning and Development team, without support from the executive leadership team, typically do not see the same level of impact.)

  • Have a group of talented and committed leaders who are excited about their own growth and development, as well as the success of the organization.

Interested in learning more about what this could look like for your organization?
If so, I’d love to have a conversation with you.

“This has by far been the most significant, meaningful, and transformative professional development I’ve ever done.”

TRAIN THE TRAINER

Bring this work in house, in a way that works for you. Together we will work to uncover the needs of your organization, identify which program might be the best match for those needs, and equip your team to lead this work in house.

This option might be the right fit for your organization if you feel that this work would be best delivered from someone on your team (rather than from an external partner) and you desire a model, along with supporting content, that is research-backed, tried and tested, and ready-to-go for you.

This option includes ready-to-go content for your trainer and for your participants, as well as a train-the-trainer bootcamp and ongoing support. It empowers your team to create Expansive Impact with their peers.

This might be a good fit for your organization if:

  • There is someone (or several people) on your team who would be excited about facilitating this work in-house. Note: this does not have to be someone from the HR or Learning and Development Team. It could be a subject matter expert or a manager from elsewhere within your organization.

  • There is dedicated time and energy to focus on this work.

  • You are committed to keeping this work alive and evolving in-house, in partnership with the group of assigned trainers and facilitators.

Please reach out if you’d like to explore this possibility for your organization.

Virtual Retreats, Workshops, Keynotes, and Events

High impact experiences, virtually. Bring your team together, in service of your goals, in a way that creates lasting impact and deep connection.

At a moment when we are suffering from collective Zoom Fatigue, for some, the last thing that sounds appealing is a virtual retreat, workshop, or event.

That said, there’s a way to do this differently. It’s possible to create highly engaging, deeply connected virtual experiences that support both your goals, and the humans who are working toward them.

Together, based on your needs, we will design a virtual experience in service of your goals and your team that is not only effective and impactful, but joyful, engaging, and nourishing.

We will create Expansive Impact together, from afar.

Note: as of 2021, I am taking a select number of in-person engagements. Please reach out if you’d like to explore possibilities together.

Examples of virtual offerings include:

  • Virtual Team Workshops and Retreats - bring the team together (virtually) for a day to align around key goals and priorities, explore the strengths of each individual team member, and create a plan for the future.

  • Virtual Experiences - add joy, surprise, and delight to your current remote culture.

  • Virtual Keynotes - laser focused on maximizing the impact of our time together in the room, these include both pre-event and post-event opportunities that allow us to spend our “live” virtual time together most effectively.

KEYNOTE AND WORKSHOP TOPICS INCLUDE:

  • The Six Invitations of Expansive Impact. This is Zing Collaborative’s Signature Offering and is an opportunity to step fully into our leadership, via the six invitations. It can be delivered as an ongoing program, via one of the options above, or as a condensed keynote or workshop for your organization or team. Team members will walk away with an ability to significantly change their positive impact, even if nothing around them changes.

  • Are you a Seagull or an Eagle? As leaders, at any given moment, we have a choice between two paths. We can soar as an eagle above the clouds, maintaining perspective and holding the big picture view, or we can swoop in as a seagull, urgently reacting rather than responding, leaving droppings on our team members along the way. We’ll explore this idea, along with specific actions that will take us out of seagull mode and into eagle mode.

  • Staying Grounded when the Ground Feels Shaky - this offering has been a favorite of our “COVID-era.” It has been described as “amazing, grounding, lovely, positive, and helpful.” It is an exploration of ways that we can stay grounded and centered no matter what is happening around us, and includes a number of concrete, actionable practices for participants to use following our time together. This can be structured as a 30 minute, 45 minute, or 60 minute stand-alone, or as a 2-part mini-series with time for practice and application between sessions. Read a bit more about a recent offering, here.

  • Leading in Every Moment - this offering equips team members with ways to lead powerfully and effectively in any role, and any context. It has been described as “the most relevant, grounding, connected, and helpful professional development opportunity we’ve ever done.” It can be structured as a 1-2 hour stand-alone offering; as a 3-4 hour half-day workshop, or as a 2-4 part mini-series.

  • Embracing Conflict - this offering empowers team members to embrace rather than avoid conflict, with a combination of self-awareness, and systems-savviness. Team members will leave with new awareness of their own responses and reactions in times of conflict, as well as with specific, concrete practices to apply. Read the full description here. Note: this is also available as a course through UW Continuing Studies, if you’d like to send individual team members.

  • Making Remote Work Work (For You). This offering is not about how to adjust your zoom settings or set up your team slack channel. Rather, it’s about how to thrive when our work and our lives are suddenly intertwined and our ‘office’ is now the laundry room or the kitchen table. Read the full description here.

Executive Coaching, Executive Strategy, & ceo coaching

High impact coaching, laser focused on the needs of your executive team. This might include 1:1 Executive or ceo Coaching, or small group Executive Strategy Sessions.

The more that we progress as leaders, oftentimes, the less support we have - even though the complexity of our work continues to increase.

Executive Coaching, CEO Coaching, and Executive Strategy involves co-creating a sacred container for some of your most important, complex, and challenging conversations. Together, we peel back the layers to get to the core of the things you’re grappling with, explore what’s possible and what will have the greatest impact, and create a concrete plan to move these things forward.

I work with executives who are passionate, committed, highly engaged, and who are excited about the idea of a thought partner and advocate to explore these incredibly important topics and questions. Together, we work together to support the Expansive Impact that you’re creating within your organization.

A wonderful client described our CEO Coaching as “so much more than coaching,” and said it’s like having a “work therapist.” A great description!
